How to get there ??
The airport of the northwest area of Madagscar is Fascene, located on the island of Nosy Bé (or Nossi Be) and linked with Milan (Italy),  Antananarivo and Reunion.
From Europe: Most of the flights are ex Paris/France by Air Madagascar, Air France, Corsair or Air Austral.
There is also a direct flight from Milan (Italy) to Nosy Bé with Air Madagascar.

In Madagascar
The hotel is situated in the northwest area of Madagascar, facing the islands of Nosy Bé and Nosy Komba.
La Douany belongs to the village of Ankify, where the speed boats to/from Hell-Ville, the capital and port of Nosy Bé, leave and arrive.
The next larger city is Ambanja, about 25 Kilometer / 16 miles east of Ankify. From Ambanja leads the RN6 (route nationale) 250 Kilometer / 160 miles into the north, via Ambilobe to Antsiranana (Diego-Suarez).

* Land
Coming from Ambanja you pass Ankfy port, which will be to your right hand side. 5 Kilometers further you reach La Douany. There is only one way up the slope to the Hotel "la mer".

* Air
After arrival at Nosy Be airport you should take a taxi to the port of Hell-Ville, from here the speed boat to Ankify and again a taxi from Ankify to the hotel in La Douany.
If the sea is not too rough, the boat can stop at La Douany beach (there is no jetty), and you walk up the hill. If we have your scheduled arrival time, we will meet you at the beach and our staff will take care of your luggage.
Costs: Taxi Nosy Be approx. Ar 15.000 (ca. € 6,00), speed boat Ar 10.000 (ca. € 4,00 per person), Taxi Ankify to hotel approx. Ar 10.000 (ca. € 4,00).
